What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?

The excellent reputation of the Clark School and the wide range of opportunities within the Honors College were the top two reasons that made me decide to attend UMD.

Best Experience with a Class or Project

ENES100 in my opinion was a great way to introduce engineering freshman to problem solving and engineering related teamwork. I loved working with multiple different majors to come together to complete a single mission. I learned a lot about new topics like the Arduino and mechanical engineering, things I do not experience in EE classes.

Favorite Class

ENEE322: Signals and Systems

Involvements/Extracurricular Activities

Engineering Ambassadors, University Honors Student Advisory Board, UMD Fencing Club

Favorite On-Campus Event

Some of my favorite events include the Cherry Blossom Fencing Tournament, Maryland Day, and the University Honors Student-Faculty Dinner

Research/Study Abroad Experience

I have not done research at UMD, but I have interned at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory for the past 4 summers. At the lab, I enjoyed working on solutions to real world problems and using the information I was taught in classes at UMD to make significant contributions.

Cool Engineering Experience

I was interning at APL during the historic New Horizons Pluto flyby mission. I was not part of the department that worked with New Horizons but being at APL while this was happening was a very cool experience.
