What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?

I decided to attend UMD because my mother accepted a job in Rockville, MD, so I moved here after senior year to help take care of my little sister.

Best Experience with a Class or Project

My best experience was Alumni Cup 2016 where I was on the first winning Materials Science and Engineering Team! After an intense 24/7 work week, it was the best feeling to win a schoolwide competition in a team of only eight. This event created great bonding for our entire major, because everyone contributed in the lounge. It was also great to see how what we learn in class can be applied into a real world machine. (For example, one step of machine was to use a light bulb to illuminate a silicon based photovoltaic device.)

Favorite Class

In Major: ENMA301: Materials for Emerging Technologies
Outside of Major: CLAS170: Greek and Roman Mythology

Involvements/Extracurricular Activities

Vice President of the Materials Science and Engineering Society
Survivor Maryland
Terpski
Terrapin Trails

Favorite On-Campus Event

My favorite on-campus event is Maryland Day!

Research/Study Abroad Experience

I work in the Army Research Lab in Adelphi, MD.

Cool Engineering Experience

Suiting up to go into a class-10 clean room in a microfabrication lab was an amazing experience, and the processes within the clean room and even better!
